๐Ÿ’› Save my Revision

Privacy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version

  • Your plan stays on your device. Your name, subjects, ticks, notes and spelling words are saved in your own browser. They are never sent to us.
  • No accounts, no tracking. You don't sign up, and we don't use cookies, ads or analytics.
  • Paying: Stripe handles the payment. We get a receipt (the payer's email and the amount), never card details.
  • If you send us something (a timetable photo or a report about a wrong date), we use it only for that, and delete it when we're done.

Who we are

Save my Revision is run by Amy Wettenhall, who is responsible for your information (the "data controller"). You can contact us at our email address.

The planner

Everything you type into the planner is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It isn't sent to us or anyone else, so we can't see it, lose it or share it. If you download your plan or a backup, that file is yours too. To delete it all, clear this website's data in your browser settings.

When you open the website, our host (Netlify) briefly receives the technical information every website receives, like your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. We don't use it to identify you.

Paying for a plan

Payments are taken by Stripe. Stripe collects the payer's name, email and card details and handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive a record of the payment (email address, amount, date and which school's timetable it was for). We use this to unlock the plan, to help if something goes wrong, and to keep the financial records tax law requires (usually 6 years). Our legal reasons: to provide what you paid for (contract) and to meet our legal obligations.

Sending us a timetable

When you upload a timetable, we receive the photo or PDF, the school name and area, which exams it covers, and a parent or carer's email address. We use the timetable to add your school's exam dates to the site, and the email only to arrange the thank-you reward. We ask you to remove names and candidate numbers first. If anything personal slips through, we delete it. We delete the photo once the timetable is published (and within 30 days at most), and the email once the reward is paid or 3 months after you sent it. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or carer to send it for you. Our legal reason: legitimate interests (running the service you asked to take part in).

Reporting a wrong date

We receive what you write and, if you choose to give it, your email address so we can reply. We delete reports 3 months after we've dealt with them. Our legal reason: legitimate interests (keeping timetables accurate).

Who else is involved

  • Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
  • Stripe processes payments.

Both may store information outside the UK. When they do, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You don't need a parent's permission to ask, and it's free. Email us and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
